The Auxiliary of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has donated $25,000 to the hospital’s MRI campaign. Funds will directly support Memorial’s quest to acquire a 3T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) unit, which will be the only one of its kind in Niagara County, and housed on the medical center’s downtown Niagara Falls campus.
A press release noted, “The MRI Imaging Center of Niagara will provide patients across the region with access to higher-quality scans, faster diagnosis, and early detection of cancers and other diseases at treatable stages.”
“The auxiliary is proud to be one of the first to contribute to this much-needed MRI machine. We look forward to its installation,” President Jane Schroeder said.
For over 100 years, the auxiliary has devoted its time and energy to supporting Memorial in numerous capacities, including being a premier fundraiser.
