2022 scholarship applications available
On Sunday, May 1, the Kiwanis Club of Niagara-Wheatfield will be back with its annual pancake breakfast and basket raffle. After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19 precautions, the club will be flipping all you-can-eat fluffy pancakes, served with warm real maple syrup, sausages, juice, Tim Hortons coffee, tea and milk.
Breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the American Legion Post 1451, 6565 Ward Road.
As in the past, a sizeable basket raffle will be held in conjunction with the breakfast.
All proceeds from the event will benefit children – from programs to sending kids to summer camp, student leadership programs in elementary and middle schools, assisting special needs agendas, and scholarships.
Applications for the Niagara-Wheatfield Kiwanis and Niagara-Wheatfield Kiwanis Foundation Thomas Beachy scholarships are available at the guidance office in the Starpoint and Niagara-Wheatfield high schools, or on the club’s website. The new Thomas Beachy Scholarship is open to any resident of Niagara County.
