Marcene Robinson named 2022 president of local PRSA chapter

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Buffalo Niagara Chapter welcomes Marcene Robinson as president for 2022. Robinson heads a 12-person board of directors, which was recently elected by the local chapter's membership body.

Robinson, a Buffalo native and current resident of Hamilton, Ontario, serves as unit diversity officer and news content manager at the University at Buffalo. He has been a member of PRSA Buffalo Niagara Chapter since 2013 and has served on the Board as president-elect, treasurer, assembly delegate and PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) chapter liaison.

Robinson has received several awards from the chapter, including the Ann R. Carden Rising Star Award in 2018. The chapter also recognized his work in media relations with gold Excalibur Awards in 2014 and 2015. Robinson holds both an MBA and bachelor's degree in English from the University at Buffalo.

Besides Robinson, other PRSA Buffalo Niagara Chapter members serving on the 2022 board of directors include:

  • Director-at-Large: Antonia Carter-Redding, product control analyst, Citi
  • Director-at-Large: Joshua Gregory, public relations director, The Martin Group
  • Director-at-Large: Samantha Schlein, cloud marketing manager, Ingram Micro
  • Assembly Delegate: Cassandra Kubiak, director of enrollment marketing, Niagara University
  • Assembly Delegate: Rene Petties-Jones, president, The National Federation for Just Communities of WNY Inc.

PRSA Buffalo Niagara Chapter is Western New York's branch of the Public Relations Society of America – a professional organization serving the communications community. The local chapter began in 1963 and is one of 110 across the nation.
