The weekend of Dec. 4-5 is the annual holiday event along the Niagara Wine Trail.
A press release noted, “This year, our gift is a Niagara Wine Trail wine journal. Each member winery has a page with information about the winery and their featured wines. Subsequent pages have lots of room for you to write your notes about the wines you taste at this visit and in the future. Now that we are entering our 20th year, we wanted a gift that would reflect the diversity along the trail.”
Tickets are $40 per person or $75 per couple. It includes three tastes of wine at each winery and a journal per ticket. Extra journals will be available for purchase after the event.
Many wineries will have gift baskets and gift certificates available. Ticket sales end at 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, or until sold-out.
Participating wineries include 810 Meadworks, A Gust of Sun Winery, Bella Rose Vineyard and Winery, Black Willow Winery, Honeymoon Trail Winery, Leonard Oakes Estate Winery, Liten Buffel, Long Cliff Vineyard and Winery, Mayer’s Lake Ontario Winery, Schulze Vineyards and Winery, Schwenk Wine Cellars, Victorianbourg Wine Estate, Vizcarra Vineyards at Becker Farms and The Winery at Marjim Manor, including Marjim at the Falls.
Many wineries will have specials during the weekend. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to www.NiagaraWineTrail.org.
