DiMino Lewiston Tops was a major sponsor for the recent “RockOut Cancer” event at the Lewiston Stone House. On Wednesday, owner Anthony DiMino presented a generous donation to the Lower Niagara Community Survivors, which organized the fundraiser.

He is shown in the photo, alongside Lewiston Stone House owner and LNCS board member Emery Simon.

Tops employees also collected money to support families coping with cancer. They were represented by Kim Leone, shown with Simon in the second photo.

The LNCS offers training, resources and a platform needed to empower survivors to provide support to their neighbors currently fighting cancer. It also bestows monetary assistance to those currently fighting cancer to help cover day-to-day activities that may get pushed aside when trying to heal.

BPO to perform in Lewiston

DiMino is sponsoring a summer 2022 performance by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.

As part of the village’s bicentennial celebration, the BPO will perform at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, on the newly relocated and expanded Alphonso DiMino Memorial Bandshell at Academy Park. The show will take place following a parade down Center Street. It will be part of a dedication ceremony honoring Alphonso DiMino.

Speaking this past summer of the BPO and the bandshell, Anthony DiMino said, “It’s something my father always would enjoy. And seeing that it’s a testament to a great entrepreneur and a corporate and civic person for the Village of Lewiston, for all the years he lived, I think that this Al DiMino Memorial Bandshell will be a testament to him for hopefully the next 50 years.”
