“Through the craziness of COVID, the longing to be home with my friends and family has become more and more these last two years. It made me think back to a project I had worked on with Boot Barn in 2018 for one of their commercials,” Mary Sarah said. “When working on the song, I couldn’t help but have that feeling of wanting to head home, and what better time to do that than the holidays! That thought began the journey of making my own Christmas version of the already classic ‘Country Roads’. I hope this version brings joy and love, and I hope everyone gets to be with their loved ones this year!”

Country Rebel media and lifestyle outlet is premiering four special performance videos by Mary Sarah. The first video features her relatable song “Boys In Bars,” and will be followed by “Without You,” “Chain Smokin’ ” and “Stubborn.” Mary Sarah was also featured on Country Rebel with CMA and ACM award-winning and Grammy-nominated hitmaker David Frizzell for a special duet of Frizzell’s hit tune, “You’re The Reason God Made Oklahoma.”

“I co-wrote ‘Boys in Bars’ with some amazing friends of mine, Grammy Award-winning songwriter Aaron Raitiere, and Bart Butler,” Mary Sarah said. “I remember going into the writing session that day and I never thought we would be writing the most vulnerable song I have to date. ‘Boys in Bars’ is about a time in my life that I am not proud of, but I’m also not ashamed of. As humans, we long to be loved, to find love, and we can long for it so much that we look in the wrong places. I hope this song reaches others who might have had similar experiences and brings comfort to their hearts knowing they are not alone. Thank you so much to Country Rebel for being so kind and sharing my song with the world! Love my Country Rebel fam!”

Mary Sarah was raised in the Texas Opry circuit where she first began defining and honoring her traditional country roots. She then went on to land a major touring role with Kidz Bop at the age of 12. Combining her touring experience with her love of traditional country music gave way to a once-in-a-lifetime album – duets featuring country music legends Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Ray Price – all before the age of 18.

In 2016, America embraced her on the top-rated “The Voice.” Her blind audition garnered her a four-chair turn singing country’s iconic “Where The Boys Are” by Connie Francis. She quickly advanced onto Team Blake.

Since finishing fifth on season 10 and serving as The Kohl’s greenroom host (season 11), the Texas ingénue’s opportunities have only expanded and include a Grand Ole Opry debut, Ryman stage appearances, touring across the U.S. and hosting Radio Disney's red-carpet coverage for the CMA Awards.
