Chocolate fundraiser to benefit families experiencing homelessness
Family Promise of WNY is a community organization providing emergency shelter and support to families experiencing homelessness It will host its sixth annual “Choctoberfest” – a celebration of all things beer and chocolate – from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at Flying Bison Brewing Co., 840 Seneca St., Buffalo. This event is indoor/outdoor to ensure guests feels comfortable attending.
Tickets include a local chocolate charcuterie board courtesy of Park Edge Sweet Shoppe, a limited-edition Friar Jud Brown Robe ale, a meal from Coyote Cafe food truck, and live music from Dana Manzella. Guests also have a chance to play the “Willy Wonka” raffle and win one of more than 50 bottles of liquor, wine and beer. Tickets are $35 pre-sale or $40 at the door.
Family Promise of WNY is celebrating 25 years serving the community. Its mission is to work alongside partners to keep families experiencing homelessness together, offering emergency housing and compassionate support as they work to find their way back home.
