'Big R': $1,000-to-win demolition derby June 18 at Ransomville Speedway

On Friday, June 18, Triple T Auto Parts will present a $1,000-to-win demolition derby following the completion of the full racing program at Ransomville Speedway.

The top three in the demolition derby will receive prize money with $1,000 going to the winner, $750 for second, and $500 for third. The Mad Dog/Heavy Hitter award will also be receiving $500. The top three as well as the heavy hitter will also receive trophies.

It’s a $50 admission for the driver and car. Pit admission for crew members will be $30 for members and $35 for non-members.

Rules for the demolition derbies on June 18 and Friday, Sept. 3, are now posted on www.ransomvillespeedway.com.

Triple T Auto Parts will also be providing cars for the Monster Truck Racing League show on Saturday, Aug. 14. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets for the Monster Truck Racing League at www.monstertruckboxoffice.com.

Ransomville Speedway is located on Braley Road in the hamlet of Ransomville, just 20 minutes from Niagara Falls and Lockport. “The Big R” is a 3/8th-mile DIRTcar-sanctioned facility that is the “Home of the Summer Nationals.” Ransomville also features a 1/16th-mile go-kart track for action on the “Little R” on Thursday nights.
