Buffalo Brewing Co. and The Buffalo History Museum announced the signature 1862 Cream Ale beer will once again be available to purchase, for a limited time, in canned form to be enjoyed at home.

A pop-up event to sell the beer, along with other Buffalo Brewing Co. signature craft beers, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 29, at the museum’s main building at 1 Museum Court (while supplies last).

With every four-pack of 1862 Cream Ale purchased, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Buffalo History Museum to support operations and the continued preservation of historic artifacts, including the “Chronicling COVID-19” initiative.

The museum will offer a 20% discount on memberships and 20% off museum shop purchases for new and current members on May 29. Additionally, there will be two raffles, one for new members that join May 29 and one for current members, for Pan-American Exposition-themed baskets. Winners will be contacted the week of May 31.

“We are very excited to make our 1862 Cream Ale available in cans once more. We hope it draws awareness to The Buffalo History Museum and its mission, preserving the history of Buffalo and W.N.Y.!” said co-founders of Buffalo Brewing Co., Heather and John Domres Jr.

Megan Hahin, museum development officer, said, “Buffalo Brewing Co. has been steadfast supporters of the museum and Buffalo history. We are looking forward to welcoming them back at the museum as our brewery partners for this pop-up event and many more events to come!”
