“American Idol” is back with a live coast-to-coast episode, as the top seven contestants perform two songs each on Sunday, May 9 (8-10 p.m. EDT), on ABC. In this show, the remaining finalists will perform one song dedicated to the special loved ones in their lives in honor of Mother’s Day, and a second song from the Coldplay songbook, mentored by the band’s lead singer, Chris Martin.
Coldplay will also perform their recently announced new single, “Higher Power,” in a worldwide exclusive performance.
Voting starts at the beginning of the episode and the top five finalists will be revealed at the end of the episode.
Episodes can also be viewed the next day on-demand and on Hulu.
