Per Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office, Western New York had the highest number (by percentage) of positive coronavirus cases in New York state, at 2.2%. That includes 54 new cases in Erie County and three in Niagara County.
Of the 51,839 test results reported to New York on Sunday, 545, or 1.05%, were positive.

Erie County
As of 5 p.m. Sunday, Erie County had a total of 8,451 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 129 on Grand Island and 3,779 in the City of Buffalo. To date, 206,269 people have been tested (4% positive), with 669 deaths attributed to the coronavirus. Also, 76,746 people have taken an antibody test (6.6% positive).
