The next meeting of the Buffalo and Erie County Greenway Fund Standing Committee will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, via videoconference. The meeting is open to the public. Contact Carol Sampson if interested in viewing. The meeting agenda includes announcement of the 2021 Buffalo and Erie County Greenway grant schedule.
The committee receives funds from New York Power Authority as part of the settlement agreement in 2007 related to the 50-year federal license received by NYPA for the Niagara Power Project. During the term of the license, the Buffalo and Erie County Standing Committee will receive $2 million a year. It is composed of one representative from Erie County, the City of Buffalo, Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy and NYPA.
