Premier League returns with live doubleheader on NBCSN, featuring Manchester City-Arsenal

Peacock to present its first live sporting event, beginning Saturday, June 20, with Bournemouth v. Crystal Palace

The Premier League’s return is just two days away – with the league resuming the 2019-20 season this Wednesday, June 17. NBC Sports’ coverage begins at noon ET on NBCSN, with “Premier League Live,” followed at 1 p.m. by 19th-place Aston Villa, looking to avoid relegation, hosting seventh-place surprise package Sheffield United. Then at 3:15 p.m. on NBCSN and Universo, second-place Manchester City host ninth-place Arsenal. Arlo White and former Premier League footballer Graeme Le Saux will call the match from Etihad Stadium.

NBC Sports presents nearly 80 hours of live coverage from June 17 through July 2 – and 35 days of live games in a 40-day stretch to conclude the 2019-20 season.

On Friday, June 19, the first full weekend of coverage begins with “Premier League Live” at noon on NBCSN, followed by Norwich City v. Southampton at 1 p.m. Then at 3:15 p.m., eighth-place Tottenham host fifth-place Manchester United, who trail fourth-place Chelsea by 3 points.

Saturday’s coverage begins with “Premier League Mornings” at 7 a.m. on NBCSN, followed by Watford v. third-place Leicester City at 7:30 a.m., and Arsenal visiting Brighton at 10 a.m. (NBCSN, Universo). Coverage switches to NBC and Telemundo at 12:30 p.m. as sixth-place Wolverhampton Wanderers visit West Ham, who enter the restart above the relegation zone on goal difference. White calls the match, joined by Lee Dixon from London Stadium.

Peacock – NBCUniversal’s new streaming service – will also mark the debut of live sports on the platform with the Premier League’s return. Beginning this Saturday, June 20, at 2:45 p.m., with Crystal Palace, aiming to move into the top half of the table, visiting a Bournemouth side looking to avoid relegation. Peacock will stream all live matches currently available via NBC Sports Gold’s “Premier League Pass,” including seven games in the first three matchweeks.

Premier League matches are included with Peacock Premium, which is currently available to Comcast’s Xfinity X1 and Flex customers across the country. Peacock will launch nationally with free and premium tiers across mobile, web and connected TV devices on July 15.

A two-hour “Premier League Mornings” begins this Sunday at 7 a.m. on NBCSN, followed by Newcastle v. Sheffield United at 9 a.m. U.S. Men’s National Team star Christian Pulisic could make his first appearance for Chelsea since New Year’s Day after recovering from injury, as the fourth-place Blues visit Aston Villa on Sunday, June 21, at 11:15 a.m. on NBCSN and Telemundo. Then at 2 p.m. on NBC and Telemundo, Liverpool continues it run for a first top-flight title in 30 years, as the squad faces Everton in the Merseyside Derby. White and Le Saux will call the match from Goodison Park.

Coverage concludes next Monday, June 22, with “Premier League Live” at 2 p.m. on NBCSN, followed by second-place Manchester City hosting Burnley at 3 p.m. (NBCSN, Universo). White and Dixon will call Monday’s match.

“The Men In Blazers Show,” hosted by soccer personalities Michael Davies and Roger Bennett, features an interview with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp this Friday at 6 p.m. on NBCSN.

Rebecca Lowe hosts “Goal Zone,” “Premier League Mornings” and “Premier League Live,” joined by former Jamaica National Team player Robbie Earle, former Premier League footballer Robbie Mustoe, and former USMNT player Kyle Martino. The telecast marks the first in-studio show since March from NBC Sports’ International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Connecticut.

Andres Cantor Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Telemundo Deportes

Telemundo Deportes kicks off the return of Premier League with a special celebration of Andres Cantor’s 20th anniversary with the company. Telemundo Deportes’ weekend programming will incorporate special segments, celebratory messages and clips that highlight memorable moments from the past two decades. Cantor will call four matches this week, beginning with Manchester City v. Arsenal this Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. on Universo.
