Hundreds of teens from across New York, Pennsylvania, and Southern Ontario gathered this past weekend in downtown Buffalo at the Buffalo Grand Hotel for the second annual Awaken Youth Conference. Produced by Western New York’s Kingdom Bound Ministries, the conference featured renowned worship collective North Point Worship along with national youth communicator Reggie Dabbs, as well as respected regional speakers from the U.S. and Canada such as Christopher Hopper and Mike Gordon.
Presenters spoke on a wide variety of topics relevant to teens, such as mental health, relationships, overcoming adversity through faith, and a host of other topics that affect youth.
A press release said, “Ministry and Biblical truth was at the center of all that took place at the conference with many teens being touched by the Gospel.”
Following the event, attendees sung its praise.
“This was a great conference; thank you. Our teenagers had an amazing time, as did I,” a youth group leader shared. “Thank you for all of the efforts and work put into this. All of the speakers were fantastic and the music was fabulous.”
Another leader shared, “One of our youth felt God pursuing her heart on the Friday night. It was a great night of renewing her commitment to Jesus and knowing how much God loves her.”
The conference is slated to return to Buffalo for its third year in the winter of 2021. More information can be found at www.AwakenCon.com.
