Hollywood Foreign Press Association & American Cinematheque celebrate 2020 Golden Globe Awards Best Motion Picture - Foreign Language nominees with symposium

Directors of ‘Pain and Glory,’ ‘The Farewell,’ ‘Les Misérables,’ ‘Portrait of a Lady on Fire,’ ‘Parasite’ participate

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association and American Cinematheque celebrated the best in international cinema with the 2020 Golden Globe Foreign-Language Nominees Symposium on Saturday at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood. The event featured a panel with all five directors of the nominated films in the Best Motion Picture - Foreign Language category. This year’s nominees are “Pain and Glory” (Spain), “The Farewell” (USA), “Les Misérables” (France), “Portrait of a Lady on Fire” (France) and “Parasite” (South Korea). Participating in the panel discussion were filmmakers: Pedro Almodóvar (“Pain and Glory”), Bong Joon Ho (“Parasite”), Ladj Ly (“Les Misérables”), Céline Sciamma (“Portrait of a Lady on Fire”) and Lulu Wang (“The Farewell”).

The 2020 Annual Golden Globe Awards aired Sunday on NBC.
