Rivera was enshrined in the “Cathedral of Baseball,” in Cooperstown, after being unanimously selected to the Hall of Fame in 2019. He is the first and only player to receive a unanimous selection.
Rivera formed the Mariano Rivera Foundation. Its mission is empowering impoverished youth with education for the future. This includes providing vital funding and assistance for underserved communities unable to afford services, afterschool activities and sports.
