Zombies coming to Ghostlight Theatre this month

The play “Night of the Living Dead” by Lori Allen Ohm will be presented at the Ghostlight Theatre, 170 Schenck St., North Tonawanda, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24. Performances continue at 8 p.m. Oct. 25-26, and at 2 p.m. Oct. 27. Tickets are $18 and can be purchased online at www.starrynighttheatre.com or by calling the theater at 716-743-1614.

“Night of the Living Dead” is adapted from George Romero’s classic 1968 horror film and directed by DJ Swartz. It tells the story of seven people trapped in a rural Pennsylvania farmhouse by hundreds of zombies. The cast includes Ben Torres, Carla Kwasniak, L. Don Swartz, Vanessa Stipkovits, Ryan Walters, Emma Gerard and Abigail Laski.

Actors recently made a trip to Evans City, Pennsylvania, to meet cast members from the film and tour the cemetery where the famous opening film scene was shot.
