New facility is first WellNow location to operate from 8 am to midnight 7 days a week; Location will provide treatment for non-life-threatening injuries & illnesses with no appointment needed

WellNow Urgent Care – one of New York’s fastest-growing urgent care providers – is now accepting patients at its new Cheektowaga facility located at 3450 Union Road. The new facility is the first to offer patients extended hours of operation, treating patients seven days a week from 8 a.m. to midnight, with no appointment needed.

“WellNow Urgent Care recognizes that not all ailments happen at a time that is most convenient for patients – creating a need for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses beyond standard evening hours,” said founder and WellNow Urgent Care President John Radford, M.D. “We are excited to provide the residents of Cheektowaga and the surrounding communities this new choice for immediate medical care, and, in doing so, empower patients with health care options that better fit their schedule or situation.”

The new WellNow facility provides timely treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses, such as sprains, strains, colds and the flu, while also providing on-site X-rays, lab testing and physicals. Patients are treated on a walk-in basis, but may also check in online or view up-to-date facility wait times directly on the company’s homepage to help reduce wait times.

The facility accepts most insurance plans, including Medicaid and Fidelis. Employers can also visit WellNow for occupational medicine programs. A full list of services and hours can be found online.

As part of WellNow’s strategic growth plan, the new Cheektowaga facility marks WellNow Urgent Care’s sixth location in Erie County. An additional two facilities are in Niagara County.

“Western New York continues to play a critical role in WellNow’s growth strategy and, with the new Cheektowaga facility, we’re furthering our investment into Erie County,” Radford said. “As the health care industry continues to evolve and cater to the needs of the patients, WellNow is proud to offer the tools, knowledge and services that help patients make educated decisions about their health.”

Earlier this month, WellNow Urgent Care opened a facility in Watertown. Additional facilities will be opened throughout New York later this year.
