One of the area’s coolest venues is turning up the heat this August. The Bear’s Den Showroom inside Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino announced a stellar entertainment lineup, including Shaun Cassidy on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2-3 (8 p.m.); “An Evening with the Elvin Bishop Trio” on Friday, Aug. 23 (8 p.m.); “Rick Alviti: A Summertime Tribute to Elvis” on Saturday, Aug. 24 (8 p.m.) and Sunday, Aug. 25 (5 p.m.); and Hollywood U2 on Saturday, Aug. 31 (8 p.m.). Cassidy was an iconic pop star of the ‘70s and ‘80s, enjoying success both on screen and on the radio. He rose to stardom in ABC’s popular television series “The Hardy Boys Mysteries.” At the same time, Cassidy enjoyed a successful recording career with hit songs “Da Doo Ron Ron,” “That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll,” “Hey Deanie,” and “Do You Believe In Magic.” He has gone on to enjoy successful runs on Broadway and behind the camera as a television writer/producer. Cassidy is returning to the stage for the first time in decades to perform all of hits and share stories and memories from throughout his career.

The Elvin Bishop Trio is fronted by Bishop, a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Blues Hall of Fame. The trio has produced two acclaimed albums and thrilled live audiences with their musicianship, chemistry and laid-back, fun-loving music. Bishop first hit the scene as a member of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, and, later garnered the solo hit “Fooled Around and Fell In Love.” Over the course of six decades, he has toured the world and has earned a reputation as one of music’s finest guitar players.

“Rick Alviti: A Summertime Tribute to Elvis” is a high-energy show full of audience interaction. Alviti has played everywhere from the casinos of Las Vegas and Atlantic City, to venues across the country. His passion, commitment and professionalism always come through onstage. Alviti sings the greatest songs of Elvis’ career – and moves just like “The King.”

Hollywood U2 is regarded as one of the world’s top U2 tribute bands. The group has received numerous awards, appeared on “The World’s Greatest Tribute Bands” show on AXSTV, and frontman Joe Hier was even invited to sing a duet with Bono during U2’s “Innocence and Experience Tour” in 2015. The band has performed sold-out shows for global audiences, bringing the heart and soul of U2’s music to life during every performance
