On Monday, locals from the Town of Wheatfield and the Town of Niagara came together to remember the veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice to the United States.
Both municipalities held their annual Memorial Day ceremonies in front of stellar audiences. Each ceremony had a series of flag raisings, musical performances, a live gun salute, a prayer, and public speakers.
All in all, residents spent time out of their day off to remember the lives of those who have fallen and honor them on Memorial Day.
