Artpark and Funtime Presents announce The Flaming Lips with special guests The Claypool Lennon Delirium and Particle Kid were added to the “Coors Light Concerts” series in the Artpark Amphitheater. The July 27 concert is presented by Funtime. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

The Flaming Lips are an American rock band, formed in Oklahoma City in 1983. Melodically, their sound contains lush, multi-layered, psychedelic rock arrangements, but lyrically their compositions show elements of space rock. They are also acclaimed for their eclectic and elaborate live shows. Q Magazine named them one of the "50 Bands to See Before You Die."

Primus and Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger bandleaders Les Claypool and Sean Lennon have combined their abstract talents into a project called The Claypool Lennon Delirium. Their efforts, thus far, have spawned three official releases and numerous world tours.

Advance general admission bowl tickets are $45 in advance or $50 the day of the show.

Tickets will be available online at tickets.com and artpark.net; by phone at 1-888-223-6000; or in person at the Artpark box office, 450 S. Fourth St., Lewiston (10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays). Listed ticket prices include facility and charity fees; additional service fees apply for online and phone orders.

The July 27 concert joins these previously announced “Coors Light Concerts” at Artpark: The Strawberry Moon Festival featuring Sam Roberts Band, A Tribe Called Red, Alan Doyle and Thunderhand Joe & The Medicine Show (June 22); Third Eye Blind and Jimmy Eat World: “Summer Gods Tour” (July 3); and Plasticiens Volants presents “Pearl: Secrets of the Sea” with The Machine performs Pink Floyd (Aug. 22).

Visit artpark.net for information on the shows announced.
