Hard Rock Niagara Falls, USA, announces the recipient of its 2019 Hard Rock Heals Foundation Grant. The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame and its Musician Medics Program was awarded a $5,000 grant to help support music therapy programs in area hospitals and health care facilities.

Hard Rock International and its charitable arm, the Hard Rock Heals Foundation, selected Hard Rock Niagara Falls out of more than 200 properties around the world to receive this grant to support its local community. Hard Rock will present a check to representatives from Musician Medics and the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame on Tuesday, April 2.

The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Room is located in Hard Rock Café at 333 Prospect St., Niagara Falls.

“Hard Rock Heals exists to improve lives through the power of music,” said Kellie Brown, manager of global philanthropy for Hard Rock International. “The grants bestowed by the foundation will be used for community-run music programs, which means that Hard Rock International and Hard Rock Heals Foundation now support close to 100 music organizations in more than 40 countries around the world.”

Hard Rock Niagara Falls has a long-standing partnership with the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame.

“This was a natural fit. We are honored to support the great efforts of Musician Medics as they travel to area hospitals and health care centers, spreading the message of healing through music,” said Cara Turner, sales and marketing manager for Hard Rock Niagara Falls.

Each year, the Hard Rock Heals Foundation receives applications for grants from Hard Rock properties around the globe, which are then reviewed by the organization’s advisory council. Properties are selected based on their chosen charity’s use of music to heal community members, foreseeable impact to be made in their local community, and the property’s overall commitment to the Hard Rock Heals Foundation through volunteer work and campaign support. This year, 45 Hard Rock locations were awarded grants to help heal the world, one music note at a time.

The Hard Rock Heals Foundation is a global charity that believes music is the most universal medicine in existence. The foundation’s motto, “Love.Amplifed.,” seeks to inspire everyone to turn up the volume and deliver the message that lives can be improved through the power of music. The Hard Rock Heals Foundation provides grants and assistance to music-centric, health and wellness programs worldwide.

All funds raised through Hard Rock’s various philanthropic efforts at cafes, hotels, casinos and other venues are used to support global and local efforts that tie closely to Hard Rock’s greatest brand differentiator: music.

About Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Musician Medics

Music has long been regarded as source of healing for patients faced with illness. Officially launched in January 2013, the mission of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Musician Medics initiative is to provide comfort through the power of music to individuals and families during their time of need.
Local musicians volunteer their time on a monthly basis to perform and speak to patients in up-close and personal settings, such as a small gathering space or an individual hospital room. In addition, Buffalo Music Hall of Fame members play an important role, serving as “ambassadors” on site, working closely with both the Musician Medic performers and hospital staff on site during each appearance.
