Buffalo and Erie County Greenway Standing Committee to meet Dec. 14

The next meeting of the Buffalo and Erie County Greenway Fund Standing Committee will be at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo, 726 Exchange St., Suite 525, Buffalo.

The meeting is open to the public. The agenda includes revisions of the 2018-19 eligibility requirements, guidelines, priorities, schedule, and application for applicants who are seeking Greenway project funding in the upcoming round of requests.

The committee receives funds from the New York Power Authority as part of the settlement agreement related to the 50-year federal license for the Niagara Power Project in 2007. During the term of the license, the Buffalo and Erie County Standing Committee receives $2 million a year. The committee is composed of one representative from Erie County, the City of Buffalo, Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy and NYPA.
