More than 20 area restaurants will showcase their culinary expertise during the seventh annual Taste of Grand Island, on the center streets and Town Commons of Grand Island.
The daylong family-friendly food festival is planned from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, complete with food from the area's best restaurants along with music, beer and wine until 11 p.m. Not only will there be food, but more than 50 other vendors will be on site to feature their signature products and services.
The event is still accepting vendor applications. The Taste of Grand Island is organized by Corey McGowan Productions LLC.
"Grand Island has some of the best restaurants and cuisine that Western New York has to offer and visitors may experience many of them at this one event," said McGowan, festival organizer and promoter. He noted Island favorites and newcomers such as 773 North, Say Cheese, Alz Rootz Café and Mallwitz's.
"This event gets bigger and better every year and really gives Grand Island an opportunity to shine and not only showcase their best to local residents but allow off-Island traffic to come and discover something new and give local businesses the opportunity to create new revenue streams," said McGowan.
