"Broken With You," the Burtonwood Records debut from singer/songwriter Nathan Sheridan, releases Sept. 14. Featuring 11 songs written or co-written by Sheridan, the collection draws from the young artist's powerful life story of overcoming profound adversity and loss.
Produced by Seventh Day Slumber's Jeremy Holderfield, "Broken With You" is stylistically diverse; Sheridan's soulful voice its common thread. Numerous selections are autobiographical in nature, while others display the songwriter's worshipful side. The vulnerable "Again" references the loss of Sheridan's sister to brain cancer, and the title track takes a deeply personal turn as well.
"It's about my relationship with my mother and father and the struggle to trust God when you haven't been able to trust too many people in your life," he shared.
Born in Pensacola, Florida, to parents dealing with addiction, Sheridan was raised by his grandparents in Pearl River, Louisiana. As a teenager, Sheridan made a commitment to Christ, and, upon high school graduation, enlisted in the National Guard, where he served six years. While deployed in Kuwait, Sheridan led worship for fellow soldiers, providing a foundation that impacts his ministry today.
"Broken With You" will be distributed by New Day Christian Distributors (physical) and Capitol CMG (digital).
