Old-time fiddle performance with Carol Monaco & Friends on Saturday, July 14
The Carnegie Art Center will close its spring and summer music lineup with Carol Monaco & Friends on Saturday, July 14. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $10.
Featuring a six-piece band with foot-stomping "old-time" fiddle music, the performance represents a genre that migrated to America with early Irish, German, Scotch and English colonists. Monaco is a graduate of SUNY Fredonia and a certified music teacher and registered Suzuki instructor of traditional violin and country fiddling. She has played violin and fiddle for decades and has interviewed old-time fiddlers for the New York State Council on the Arts.
The CAC is located at 240 Goundry St., North Tonawanda. For more information, contact the Carnegie Art Center at 716-694-4400 or www.carnegieartcenter.org.
