'Blue Monday' concert series begins

Are you free on Monday nights? Experience blues at it's finest in the intimate, outdoor concert setting of the famous Hennepin Park Gazebo in Lewiston. The Lewiston Council on the Arts' "Blue Monday" takes place from 7-9 p.m. from July 9 through Aug. 20.
The concert series is the recipient of Blues Beat Magazine's prestigious "Muddy" Award. It is considered by many to be one of the best blues venues in Western New York, and attracts a faithful following of blues lovers from all over the region. The LCA, meanwhile, is a member of the Cross Border Blues group (

The schedule for the 24th annual "Blue Monday" concert series includes:
- July 9: Marsha McWilson
- July 16: Jeremy Keyes Band with Lindsey Witzczak
- July 23: Steve Burnside and the Original Marquis
- July 30: Paleface
- Aug. 6: Nikki Hicks & Momma's Biscuits
- Aug. 13: The Foolz
- Aug. 20: Maria Aurigema
