Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino: Bruce Smith celebrity officiant for largest vow renewal ceremony

Fri, Jun 15th 2018 06:35 pm
Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino is counting down to the title attempt for the largest marriage vow renewal ceremony, set for Saturday, June 23. On Friday, the venue revealed the legendary Bruce Smith, former defensive end for the Buffalo Bills, will be the celebrity officiant for the ceremony. Smith will lead all the participants in stating a single vow together in order to break the official record for the largest vow renewal ceremony and bring the record to Niagara Falls.
Due to the overwhelming response to this event, the official ceremony will be held outside at Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino!
Smith was a member of the Buffalo Bills teams that played in four consecutive Super Bowls as AFC champions. In 2009, his first year of eligibility, he was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as the holder of the NFL career record for quarterback sacks with 200. On Sept. 21, 2008, his name and jersey number were put up on the Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame.
Volunteers are still needed to assist as "stewards" during the event ceremony. This is a prestigious and necessary position that involves each person observing a group of 50 couples as they say their vows. All steward volunteers will receive two complimentary buffet vouchers to Thunder Falls Buffet (valid until June 30) and a commemorative T-shirt. Each steward will assist between 4-6 p.m.
Contact [email protected] now to volunteer. All registrants are asked to provide a scan copy or legible picture to [email protected] immediately if they haven't already submitted one. In addition to sending a copy beforehand, remember to bring a copy the day of the event as well. Check www.senecaniagaracasino.com/vowrenewal for up to date information.
