The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops announced May 30 the complete lineup of restaurants, food trucks, and wineries that will participate in the 2018 food festival, which takes place July 7 and 8 in downtown Buffalo. Fifty-three restaurants, including two from Grand Island, will be on site this year for the Taste's 35th birthday celebration.
The list of participants in the Taste of Buffalo includes Pizza Amore' The Wood Fired Way, and Riverstone Grill.
"Buffalonians take food and traditions that involve food very seriously, from Italian and Polish dishes that early immigrants brought with them from Europe to traditional American barbecue, as well as cuisines like authentic Mexican, Burmese and Thai. The diversity of the Buffalo food scene is something to be celebrated because it mirrors the beautiful diversity of people in Western New York," said Rich McDermott, 2018 Taste of Buffalo chairman. "The Taste of Buffalo's 35th birthday is an opportunity to showcase both our food festival and the energizing resurgence that our city is experiencing. We invite you to join us this July to see - and more importantly, taste - for yourself."
Event hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 8. Admission is free and food items cost between two and 10 tickets ($1 and $5). Tickets are valued at .50 cents each and sold in $5 sheets at three ticket booths located throughout the event.
Beginning June 10, participating Tops Markets will sell pre-sale Taste food ticket vouchers at the registers.
The Taste of Buffalo presented by Tops is the nation's largest two-day food festival, attracting more than 450,000 people to Buffalo each year. The 35th annual Taste will take place on July 7 and 8, along Delaware Avenue in downtown Buffalo. The Taste is a not-for-profit organization.
