Tickets to see Modest Mouse at the University at Buffalo Center for the Arts in Buffalo on Monday, Oct. 1, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. They are available at the UB Center for the Arts box office on the UB North (Amherst) Campus, online at ticketfly.com, or by phone at 877-987-6487.
Modest Mouse formed in 1993 in Issaquah, Washington, and has become, over the past two decades, the indie rock gold standard: One of the few bands capable of achieving massive popularity without sacrificing their longtime fans.
In 2015, the band released its first new album in eight years, "Strangers to Ourselves" (Epic), which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and at No. 1 on the rock, alternative, vinyl and internet charts the week it was released.
Modest Mouse was the first band to perform for the launch of "The Late Late Show with James Corden." The group performed "Be Brave."
The band debuted its single "Lampshades on Fire" on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," played sold-out shows across the country, and performed other new songs on "CBS This Morning."
