The Silo Restaurant's famous "Sand Dock Sundae" was bested Friday - but it took five people to finish the bucket of ice cream.
Lewiston's waterfront eatery recently opened for its 20th season. On this night, five youth from Niagara Falls visited The Silo and tried their hand at the "Sand Dock Sundae." The massive dessert is nine scoops of ice cream - almost an entire gallon - topped with whipped cream, crushed Oreo cookies (representing dirt), gummy worms (substituting for actual creepy-crawlies) and a cherry (which is just a fruit topping). Instead of a spoon, the sweet treat eaters received a toy shovel.

The Silo is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week at 115 N. Water St., Lewiston. Visit online at www.lewistonsilo.com.
