Wegmans Food Markets, in partnership with Instacart, is now offering curbside grocery pickup at three additional stores in the Buffalo area, joining Wegmans' McKinley store in Blasdell, where curbside pickup has been available since February. Customers can order online and pick up their order at the following stores:
  • 675 Alberta Drive, Amherst
  • 601 Amherst St., Buffalo
  • 4960 Transit Road, Depew
"Curbside pickup is another way for us to give our customers options and convenience, while eliminating some of the additional costs associated with delivery, such as the service and delivery fees, and gratuity," said Heather Pawlowski, vice president of e-commerce for Wegmans.
Wegmans customers can visit instacart.wegmans.com or log on to the Instacart app to shop for their favorite products, select a pickup time, and pay for their order. Customers will receive an order confirmation with instructions and a phone number to call when they are within 10 minutes of the store. Upon arrival, customers simply pull into to the designated curbside pickup lane and a Wegmans employee will load their groceries into the car.
Wegmans adds a price increase to items ordered for curbside pickup to cover the cost of Instacart shopping the order. Once shopped, orders are held in a temperature-controlled staging area inside the store until customers arrive.
Wegmans Food Markets Inc. is a 95-store supermarket chain with stores in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland and Massachusetts. Wegmans has been named one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For" by FORTUNE magazine for 21 consecutive years. In 2018, Wegmans ranked No. 2 on the list.
