Grammy Award-nominee and Stellar Award-winning singer and motivational speaker Jekalyn Carr is already kicking off 2018 with a bang, by announcing two new projects. She is releasing her first book, "You Will Win!: Inspirational Strategies to Help You Overcome," on Feb. 20. To coincide with the book, her forthcoming live album, "One Nation Under God," will release on Feb. 23 - with first single, "You Will Win" (already a chart-topping hit), sharing the name of her book.
"You Will Win!" is filled with impactful and inspirational messages from Carr designed to help readers conquer their storms, live in victory and maintain a winning attitude.
As a motivational speaker for over 10 years, Carr has traveled the country speaking to audiences. "You Will Win!" is a reminder that words have the power to create and speak happiness and joy into one's life. Carr provides 14 principles to follow and apply along the path to winning. She also offers seven ways to win and 12 habits for a win.
The book is now available for pre-order everywhere books are sold. "You Will Win" is published through Trinity Broadcasting Networks (TBN) - the company's first book release.
"One Nation Under God" is Carr's fourth album distributed on her own Lunjeal Music Group imprint. The album is a call for all people to unite, removing the limitations of race, religion, denomination, organization, location, gender or class. Carr addresses how Christians should see themselves - as one united body of believers. Inspired by her book, the lead single of the same name, "You Will Win," debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's gospel digital song sales chart in September; reached No. 1 this week on Billboard's gospel airplay chart; and hit the top 10 on the hot gospel songs chart.
Last year was a busy year for the Arkansas native with the success of "The Life Project" and her song, "You're Bigger," which earned Carr a Grammy Award nomination, two Billboard nominations, five Stellar Gospel Award nominations and a GMA Dove Award nomination. She also made several notable televised performances and appearances.
Carr also made her acting debut with a featured role in season two of OWN Network's hit original series "Greenleaf," and she appeared on the "Greenleaf" season 2 soundtrack, which earned an NAACP Image Award.
This year, Carr will make her film debut in "I Never Heard My Father Speak," alongside actress Robin Givens and singer-songwriter Kandi Burruss.
