As part of a holiday luncheon program on Tuesday, the Lewiston Senior Center donated dozens of presents to needy Lewiston-Porter Central School District families, and even more canned goods to the Heart, Love & Soul Food Pantry in Niagara Falls. In addition, scarves were given to the Youngstown Porter Community Christmas Baskets program.
On hand to collect toys and other items on behalf of Lew-Port were social workers Erin Myers and Emily Brook. They said 50 families will benefit from the generosity of the Senior Center, First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown and Lutheran Church of the Messiah in Lewiston.
Sister Beth Brosmer of Heart, Love & Soul also was on hand to thank the full dining room of seniors, who brought canned goods in over past weeks.
