The University at Buffalo Center for the Arts presents David Byrne at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 15 (online at 10 a.m., box office at noon).
Byrne will perform in select markets with a 12-piece untethered band.
"We'll be doing some new songs ... and many others that will, I assume, be familiar. I'm excited. This is the most ambitious show I've done since the shows that were filmed for 'Stop Making Sense,' so fingers crossed," Byrne said.
Known as the force behind Talking Heads and later as creator of the highly regarded record-label Luaka Bop, Byrne also works as a photographer, film director, author and solo artist. He has published and exhibited visual art for more than a decade.
