NBC will again utilize its SkyCam system to present the primary-viewing angle for its coverage of "Thursday Night Football" on Dec. 14 (Denver at Indianapolis). Coverage starts at 7:30 p.m. ET with "Football Night in Indianapolis."
"Thursday Night Football" will also be televised by NFL Network, and streamed live on Amazon Prime Video, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, NFL Mobile from Verizon, Watch NFL Network, the NFL app on Microsoft, and NFL Game Pass (International).
NBC utilized SkyCam as the primary viewing angle for the first time for the Nov. 16 "TNF" telecast of Titans-Steelers.
"With the experience of a full-game telecast with SkyCam and nearly a month to plan and tweak, we are excited to bring back the SkyCam presentation for the Broncos-Colts game," said Fred Gaudelli, executive producer of "Sunday Night Football" and "Thursday Night Football."
NBC's "dual" SkyCam coverage received widespread acclaim from viewers when it was pressed into action due to fog during "SNF" in Week 7. In that game, the Falcons-Patriots Super Bowl LI rematch on Oct. 22, fog rolled into Gillette Stadium late in the first half. After halftime, SkyCam technology provided the best camera angles to offer consistent and clear views of the live action.
SkyCam was also used early in the third quarter of the Nov. 5 "SNF" game (Raiders at Dolphins) as residual smoke from halftime fireworks obscured the traditional camera angles.
