15 past champions set to return for two-week event
AnchorAnchorJust when the excitement of the World Series ends, another high-stakes competition will take its place: the "Jeopardy!" Tournament of Champions presented by Consumer Cellular begins Monday, Nov. 6. Fifteen champions from the past two seasons will face off over the course of the two-week event, which concludes with a two-day final airing Nov. 16-17.
Winning the most prestigious event on the "Jeopardy!" calendar won't be easy, and the prizing reflects the level of skill needed to come out on top: $250,000 will go to the winner, while second place claims $100,000. Third place will go home with $50,000.
The contestant field for the "Jeopardy!" Tournament of Champions presented by Consumer Cellular consists of 11 players who won the most games since the last Tournament of Champions in November 2015, including recent 12-game champion Austin Rogers. The final four spots will be filled by the two most recent Teachers Tournament and College Championship winners. The full contestant roster is as follows:
