The Buffalo Sabres on Thursday announced the team claimed forward Jordan Nolan off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings.
Nolan (age 28, 6'3", 219 pounds) joins the Sabres after appearing in 292 NHL games for Los Angeles during the last six seasons. The Garden River, First Nations, Ontario, native was a member of the Kings' Stanley Cup-winning teams in 2012 and 2014.
He is the son of former Buffalo Sabres coach Ted Nolan.
"We're happy to bring Jordan into the mix," Sabres General Manager Jason Botterill said. "His size and speed, along with his experience with such a successful organization like the Kings, make him an asset to the organization."
Since being drafted by the Kings in the seventh round (186th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft, Nolan has totaled 42 points (20 goals, 22 assists) and 264 penalty minutes.
