The University at Buffalo Center for the Arts presents "An Intimate Solo Evening with Amos Lee" with special guest Mutlu at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23.
Over the course of more than a dozen years and six studio albums, singer-songwriter Lee has continued to evolve, develop and challenge himself as a musician. With a distinctive voice The New York Times has called "honeyed - light amber, mildly sweet, with a touch of grain," Lee performs a blend of folk, rock and soul.
This performance is part of Lee's first solo headline tour. He has previously toured with such legendary artists as Bob Dylan and Paul Simon and collaborated with Norah Jones and Willie Nelson. He released five albums on Blue Note Records. His most recent release is 2016's "Spirit" on John Varvatos Records.
Mutlu, a soulful singer-songwriter who blends both his own musical style and old-school soul music, will open the concert.
Tickets are available at the UBCFA (noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday) and online at www.ticketfly.com. Charge by phone at 877-987-6487. For more information, call 716-645-2787 or visit www.ubcfa.org or www.amoslee.com.
