Sunday 'Jazz at the CAC'

The Carnegie Art Center will host six weeks of jazz concerts beginning Sept. 14. "Jazz at the CAC" will include performances by The Bobby Militello Quartet, Sharon Bailey, Jon Lehning, Mark Filsinger, Carina & the Six String Preacher, and the Fredtown Stompers.
Starting the series off on Sept. 14 is Militello, an American jazz saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist. He has played with Maynard Ferguson and Dave Brubeck, and is active in his Buffalo hometown's music scene. The performances will run from 6-8:30 p.m. Space is limited; pre-sale tickets are recommended and may be purchased online at http://carnegieartcenter.org/sunday-jazz-series/.

  • Oct. 5, Jon Lehning
  • Oct. 12, Mark Filsinger

The Carnegie Art Center is situated at 240 Goundry St., in a structure built in 1904 as the City of North Tonawanda's public library and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Since 1976, the Carnegie, has been operating as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation offering the community art exhibitions, art and dance classes, as well as support to artists and art organizations.
Regular hours of operation are 6-9 p.m. Thursday, and noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. All exhibitions and events are made possible in part by the City of North Tonawanda and the members of the Carnegie Art Center.
