Niagara Falls Memorial names Pellegrino chief nursing officer

JoAnn Pellegrino, R.N., M.S., C.N.O.R., R.N.F.A., was named vice president and chief nursing officer at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
Her appointment, effective Sept. 25, was announced by President and CEO Joseph A. Ruffolo.
A graduate of Niagara County Community College and Roberts Wesleyan College, where she earned both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing Education, Pellegrino is currently associate chief nursing officer at Rochester General Hospital and a member of the Rochester Regional Health System CNO Council.
She is a former chief nursing officer of the Rochester Regional Ambulatory Surgery Centers and former director of nursing for surgical services and maternity services at Lakeside Memorial Hospital.
Pellegrino has received several awards for nursing excellence and is a member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, New York State Nurses Association and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology.
She also has served as an adjunct nursing professor at Roberts Wesleyan College, Nazareth College and St. John Fisher College, teaching classes in career development, bioethics and health assessment.
Pellegrino is a member of the SUNY Brockport Child Development Center board of directors and is active with Families with Children from China.
