Chuck Norris promotes Master John Presti, owner of Presti Karate Centers

On July 18, Master John Presti, owner of Presti Karate Centers in Lewiston and Niagara Falls, was honored and promoted to the rank of 9th degree black belt. Presti is one of 14 black belts worldwide to earn this rank under Grand Master Chuck Norris since Norris became a black belt in the 1960s.
Presti began his martial arts journey July 1967 under Pat E. Johnson, formally of Niagara Falls, who introduced Presti to Norris in 1979. Since then, Presti has been a student of Norris.
Presti and Norris have bonded over the years. He has been trusted By Norris to be on the board of directors for about 16 years. Norris has a close relationship with his ranked black belts.
For the 9th degree, it's always a hard decision who has earned such a title. Presti said to be one of now 15 ever to earn such a rank is "mind blowing."
Presti Karate has been noted by Norris several times as one of the top karate schools in the world.
