Buffalo's own multiplatinum, Grammy-nominated band Goo Goo Dolls will have new songs in hand when returning to Western New York next month.
The band's new, five-song EP "You Should Be Happy" was released this spring via Warner Bros. Records. It was recorded at EastWest studios in LA and produced by Drew Pearson (OneRepublic, Katy Perry) who first collaborated with the band on its previous release, "Boxes."
The first single, "Use Me," was written by John Rzeznik and Pearson. The EP is available at all digital retailers HERE, and was also released on CD June 9.
Track listing:
  • "Tattered Edge - You Should Be Happy"
  • "Use Me"
  • "30k Feet"
  • "Walk Away"
  • "Boxes (Alex Aldi Mix)"
The Goo Goo Dolls recently hit the road for their "Long Way Home" Tour with special guest Phillip Phillips. The show visits the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Aug. 12. Tickets and more information are available at googoodolls.com/tour and livenation.com.
The multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated Goo Goo Dolls are one of the most globally respected and influential forces in popular music, selling more than 12 million albums since 1986. They have scored 14 Top 10 radio hits (more than any other artist in the history of the Hot AC format), including "Name," "Slide" and "Iris," the latter spending nearly 12 straight months on the Billboard charts, and holding the No. 1 position for 17 consecutive weeks.
The band has toured the globe countless times, performed in front of millions of fans, received numerous awards (including four Grammy nominations), and recorded and released 11 studio albums. Rzeznik has also been honored with the Songwriters Hall of Fame Hal David Starlight Award.
