Venkat R. Kolli, M.D., F.A.C.S., will join the metabolic and bariatric surgery team at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center effective Monday, July 17.
An attending surgeon at Niagara Falls Memorial since 1999 and its chief of surgery since 2009, Kolli is a graduate of the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Pondicherry, India. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and the American Head and Neck Society.
In addition to his affiliation with the metabolic and bariatric surgery program, he will continue to maintain a general surgery practice at the Summit Healthplex in Wheatfield.
Memorial's metabolic and bariatric weight loss program focuses on both minimally invasive metabolic and weight loss surgery and medical weight loss management. Patients receive support services ranging from nutrition counseling and behavioral health assessment to exercise physiology.
