North Tonawanda Mayor Arthur G. Pappas announced the inaugural "Thursday's on the Water" concert event at a press conference in North Tonawanda's Gratwick Riverside Park last Thursday. Several North Tonawanda city officials joined Pappas in the announcement of this family-friendly event, along with Jesse Gooch of JG Productions and Entertainment and several sponsors.
"Gratwick Riverside Park is a wonderful asset to the residents of North Tonawanda. Such a beautiful venue is perfect for an event like the new 'Thursday's on the Water,' " Pappas said. "I certainly hope this event becomes a great success and brings a great number of people to the river to enjoy a day of family fun throughout the summer."
Gooch contributed additional details, including the participation of food trucks and beverage vendors, as well as a car show/ cruise night, all with a new local band providing continuous live entertainment weekly. Also to be featured is a "Kidz Zone," including a rock-climbing wall and other games. There will also be raffles and giveaways, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Twin Cities Meals on Wheels.
Donations are welcome, as well, to benefit Meals on Wheels.
