Local company looking for drivers for busiest drinking night of year

Due to the significant response for the ninth annual free home ride program, Designated Drivers of Buffalo is still looking to add more individuals and teams of drivers. For nine years, DDOB and William Mattar have partnered to provide free rides for partygoers and their cars on New Year's Eve.

"Year over year, we have seen this program grow," said Mike Mulé, owner of Designated Drivers of Buffalo. "We expect this year to be the busiest night yet. We are looking for responsible people to join our team and help keep our streets safe. We have a great opportunity to help protect the community on one of the biggest drinking nights. There is no better way to bring in the new year then by keeping people safe."

The free ride program runs from midnight until 4 a.m. for requests that originate in the City of buffalo. Drivers work in teams; one driver drives the client home in the client's car as the second driver follows behind to retrieve him or her after the ride.

Driver pay is $10 per hour, along with mileage reimbursement and gratuity.

Candidates must have a clean driving record and be able to pass an extensive background check. Those interested in applying can call 716-202-2222 to set up a time to come in for an interview.

Designated Drivers of Buffalo is a locally owned and operated transportation company that has provided over 15,000 rides for its customers and their cars since 2008. Learn more by visiting www.ddobny.com.
