Beatles fans have an additional opportunity to catch the "Classical Mystery Tour" show with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. The original show on Nov. 5 is virtually sold out, with only a few seats remaining. Tickets for the additional show are on sale now. The performance takes place at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4.
"Every time we bring this group back to Buffalo, we get a tremendous response," said Susan Schwartz, director of marketing and communications for the BPO. "With the release of several documentaries on the Beatles, and with this year being the 50th anniversary of their first tour in America, interest was particularly strong. We added this show so that everyone who wishes to come can experience this fabulous concert."
Being a Friday night, patrons are encouraged to come after work for a happy hour, including drink specials, beginning at 6 p.m. A panel discussion among local DJs, who will recount their experiences with the Beatles and Buffalo's connections, is planned for 7 p.m.
