It was "easy listening" Tuesday, as Artpark played host to '70s-era legends Don McLean and Boz Scaggs this week in the amphitheater.
McLean and Scaggs, both in their 70s, thoroughly entertained an older crowd numbering in the 8,000 range. For McLean (right), it was a splendid mix of folk rock hits, ranging from "Crossroads" to his "Vincent" tribute, to the beloved 1971 classic "American Pie, which had the crowds dancing throughout the bowl.
Scaggs continued the "low-key" but enjoyable atmosphere for the appreciative crowd, leading off with his '71 hit "Running Blue" followed by a mix of such hits as "Jo-Jo," "Georgia," the Motown classic "Until You Come Back to Me" and closing with the rousing "Lido Shuffle."
