The Historic Riviera Theatre and Performing Arts Center welcomes George Thorogood & The Destroyers at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21. Tickets ($43/$50) go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 13. A $1 donation to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is included in the ticket price.
In 1973, a barely-out-of-his-teens Wilmington guitarist piled his gear into the drummer's Chevy van to play their very first gig at a University of Delaware dorm. More than four decades, 8,000 live shows and some 15 million albums sold later, that same maverick guitar-slinger is still making electrifying music, still thrilling audiences, and still the most bad-to-the-bone performer in rock.
It's 2016, and George Thorogood & The Destroyers are badder than ever.
For tickets, call the Riviera Theatre box office at 716-692-2413 (the venue is located at 67 Webster St., North Tonawanda); stop into World Hollywood Entertainment inside the McKinley Mall; or visit www.RivieraTheatre.org.
