'American Idol': Meet the top 24 semifinalists

Former "American Idol" standouts Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Constantine Maroulis, Chris Daughtry, Kellie Pickler, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Haley Reinhart, Caleb Johnson and Nick Fradiani to mentor and perform with top 24 beginning next week on FOX

First group of 12 semifinalists to perform Wednesday, Feb. 10, then again in all-star duets on Thursday, Feb. 11; second group of 12 semifinalists to perform Wednesday, Feb. 17, and again in all-star duets on Thursday, Feb. 18

Top 10 finalists revealed and original winner Kelly Clarkson to return as guest judge and perform Thursday, Feb. 25

Thursday night, "American Idol" judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. revealed their picks for the top 24 semifinalists: Jenn Blosil, MacKenzie Bourg, Emily Brooke, Amelia Eisenhauer, Trent Harmon, Gianna Isabella, James VIII, Lee Jean, CJ Johnson, Adam Lasher, Tristan McIntosh, Jeneve Rose Mitchell, Stephany Negrete, Dalton Rapattoni, Jenna Renae, La'Porsha Renae, Olivia Rox, Jordan Sasser, Thomas Stringfellow, Manny Torres, Sonika Vaid, Kory Wheeler, Avalon Young and Shelbie Z.

The first group of 12 semifinalists - Bourg, Brooke, Isabella, James VIII, Mitchell, Negrete, Jenna Renae, La'Porsha Renae, Sasser, Stringfellow, Vaid and Young - will perform Wednesday, Feb. 10 (8-9:01 p.m. ET/PT). On Thursday, Feb. 11 (8-10 p.m.), fan-favorite former "American Idol" standouts Ruben Studdard, Fantasia, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, Caleb Johnson and Nick Fradiani return to mentor and perform a duet with the 12 semifinalists before the judges reveal which seven contestants will move forward in the competition and who will be going home.

On Wednesday, Feb. 17 (8-9:01 p.m.), the second group of 12 semifinalists -Blosil, Eisenhauer, Harmon, Jean, Johnson, Lasher, McIntosh, Rapattoni, Rox, Torres, Wheeler and Shelbie Z - get their turn. The following night, Thursday, Feb. 18 (8-10 p.m.), former contestants Constantine Maroulis, Chris Daughtry, Kellie Pickler, Jordin Sparks, David Cook and Haley Reinhart return to perform duets with the second group of semifinalists before the judges reveal who is moving on in the competition and who will be sent home.

The following week, on Wednesday, Feb. 24 (8-9:01 p.m.), the judges will announce the first eight semifinalists to make it into the top 10, leaving six to sing for America's vote and the final two spots in this farewell season's top 10.

On the first live show of the season, Thursday, Feb. 25 (8-10 p.m.), host Ryan Seacrest will reveal America's vote and announce the final two joining the top 10. For the first time, the top 10 finalists will perform for America's vote. Also, original champion Kelly Clarkson will return to guest judge and perform.

Beginning Thursday, Feb. 24, viewers at home will have five ways to vote for their favorite singer, including voting online at www.AmericanIdol.com; via the FOX NOW App; via Google Search; via text messaging; and via toll-free calling when the "American Idol" vote window opens. All voting rules and frequently asked questions will be available beginning Wednesday, Feb. 24, on americanidol.com.
